Girlie's page

This page is for Girlie, and Girlie only!

On Jan. 15th 2008 Girlie's Owl came to visit. Now I didn't know about the Owl thing coming to take a spirit home, till a really good friend (Karren) had told me about her gelding and when the Owl came to visit him. Her gelding  passed on that night. So I believe Spirits will always be with us, we just have to let them in.

On Jan. 17th 2008 at the age of 35 + years, Girlie passed on. She will be missed. She was the best friend anyone could have, She was my best friend. We had many great rides together, and long walks. We have been through thick and thin together, In 1999 Girlie colic bad, she had a twisted Cecum. The first vet said to put her down or take her to WSU for colic surgury. I chose to put her down, but did not want to do it so early in the morning. So I called in Vet #2 to put her down, also had the truck ready to pick her up after it was done. Vet 2 came and looked at her, he had told me that there is a 25% chance she would pull out of it, So needless to say I gave her that chance. 4 weeks of sleeping in the barn with her and a vet check every 4 hours, she pulled out of it. I was scared to do anything with her in fear she would colic again. So I sold her. The worst thing I have ever done. 1 1/2 years later I decided to hunt her down and buy her back, I didn't care what it would take. I finally found her paid twice the amount I sold her for and bought her back. I told myself she would never leave my sight again, and she didn't. She was always there for me and I was always there for her. This has been the best 10 years with her. She would talk to everyone that would come out to see her. She was a happy mare, no matter what was going on. She would give you her heart at all times.

Karren, thank you for being there to help Girlie and I . You don't know how much we appreciated it. You are truely a great friend. Thank you.

Savor a quiet moment with someone special.

It doesn't matter where that quiet place is, always savor it.

Girlie at 33-34 years old.

If we love a person or other horses, we may choose to check in with them after we have left our bodies. It is best for us to die without pain or trauma (injections-never bullets, please-if you have to help us die). We can then pass quickly into the light to be restored, and after that return in spirit if we choose to. All beings should be sent to the Light with love. If we are sent with sadness, fear, angar, or pain, we may get stuck in between the world of form and the world of Light. If you feel a horse friend lingering in the between, please encourage them to go to God. Say a prayer or do a ceremony to help them go. This will usually work unless they have some unfinished business to attend to.

If we choose to return to you in spirit, know that we are doing this out of love and wish you to know that we want to support you in living your life in balance and love.

Stay close to your friends, and show your friends you appreciate them.

She looks pretty dam good for being 33-34 years old. I miss her something bad.

Her spirit now flies painless and free. Out in an open feild of the greenest grass you could find.

All of  us go to the same "place" when we pass out of form. Our spirits return to the "sea" of all Life. We return to God, to Light, to Love. As we pass into the Light, we try to leave behind any destructive experiences and seek balance by recalibrating to the Light. Some of us are more successful at this then others. Traumatic deaths are difficult to shed. Disconnected, painful lives are difficult to forget. We often carry these memories through many lifetimes, repeating traumas and getting stuck in destructive patterns-just as human beings do.Often we return to balance. Loving humans who respect us and listen to us can help free us of painful memories. We are deeply grayeful for your help when you give it. Often a human and a horse help each other release past traumas.

It is the gift/duty of every being who knows love to shine their loving light so that others may gravitate toward it and be healed. No being really heals another; they just provide a well of love for another soul to dip into so they can find themselves and be whole again

As individuated souls, we have free choise to return to horses and /or humans we have loved. We decide to dothis when we feel that it is in everybody's highest or best interest at a soul level. We do this when we have something more to learn or to teach or if we feel we can help other horse or human souls achieve greater levels of balance and love. There are "master teachers" in horse bodies, just as there are in human bodies.
